No man is an Island - working with poetry and song lyrics
This is very exiting because it`s my first task on this blog. Today i got a mission, i say a mission because it sounds a little more interesting. The mission was to read a poem and listen to two songs. The two songs i have listen to are called I am a rock and You`ll never walk alone, the poem is called No man is an Island. My meaning is that the two songs have two different messages. In the first song they sing about a life where friendship only is pain and that it`s better to be lonely, because he is a rock, he don`t need nobody. The word "love" who most of you look at as a beautiful thing he says only is a sleeping memory and only causes pain. It is of course true in a way, but you can`t live you`re life alone all the time. It will get a little boring and lonely after a while. The main person in this song keep saying that he is a rock, i think that it means that he is perfectly fine alone or that he is trying to hide his feelings. Friendship and love is feelings that he disdain. Maybe he has gone through a hard time?
The poem and the song You`ll never walk alone on the other hand has a message that the heading it`s self is telling us, we all stand together, you are never alone. "Don`t be afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm there`s a golden sky and the sweet silver song of a lark". This is really true because at the end of the tunnel there`s a happy ending. Keep going!

The song i liked the most is You`ll never walk alone because i think it gives us a very good message. Together we are strong, and that`s very important for people to know. The song is more positive and give hope to the people.
Interesting reflections on the lyrics, Tiril :)
